My client, Hostgrown, needed to build a website for a Guatemalan school. They hired me to provide the graphical design and XHTML and CSS code for the site.

As I didn't know much about the Maya civilization (or anything about Guatemala), I started by spending a couple of hours reading on Wikipedia and looking at Maya related images.

My job was to modify the Joomla installer package so that the result of an installation would be the desired Joomla site with the right articles (from the original php files), the right modules and the right template.
